The Texas Tech Red Raiders represent the Texas Tech University. They are a member of NCAA Division I’s Big 12 Conference. The Red Raiders field men and women teams in various sports. On top of that they have also won eleven conference crowns, one division title and a Sun Bowl. The Red Raiders have been a force to be reckoned in basketball. The men have been crowned conference champions thirteen times during the regular season. They have also won the conference tournament five times. The women haven’t done too badly either. In golf, starting 1990 all the way to 2006 the men’s side brought home an unbelievable ninety one All-American awards, one national championship and twenty conference crowns. The women’s teams were even more impressive in their trophy quest during that period. They won twenty nine Big 12 titles, thirty two All-American awards and another five national championships. The trend continued onwards and the women got their hand on the first team championship in 2008.
