In 2002, the band was able to release its first album Like It Used to Be through Downtime Records. It was soon followed in 2004 by Rollercoaster that was released by Smith Music Group. The first two albums failed to enter the charts. 2006 saw the release of Just a Matter of Time. This was the first album by the group that was released by music giant Mercury Nashville Records. It was also the first album that entered both US Billboard and US Country charts at #61 and #8 respectively.
 
The fourth album was self-titled and again released by Mercury Nashville. The album contained twelve tracks including “One Woman”, “When The Circus Leaves Town”, “Never Be That High” and “Buy Myself a Chance”. It received favorable reviews from critics and landed at #3 on US Billboard Top Country and #29 on US Billboard. The fifth album by Randy Rogers Band proved to be an even bigger success. This was released by MCA Nashville Records and became the highest charting album by the group till date. It raced to #8 on Billboard and #2 on US Top Country Albums. The album included singles like “I Met Lonely Tonight”, “Just Don’t Tell Me the Truth”, “Missing You is More Than I Can Do”, “Straight Over for the Last Time” and “Holding On to Letting Go”.
