It was known as RKO Pantages Theatre during its early years when it was created by one of the greatest vaudeville’s Alexander Pantages. The success of the Pantages can be seen from the fact it has hosted the five highest grossing weeks in the LA theatrical history. The Pantages Theatre has held musical concerts as well over the years like a 1997 Shakira concert which was her first performance in the US.
