Headlined by the hit track Bizarre Love Triangle, the album went on to do very well on charts both in the UK and the US. The sound that resulted as a fusion of dance music and alternative rock, appealed to fans and critics alike. The group then went on to compile all their songs together and put them on one album titled Substance. It was released on 17^th August, 1987 and became a huge hit right from the very beginning. They combined acid house music and Balearic beat perfectly to release their next sensational album, Technique on 3th January, 1989. Just like their previous releases, this album also went on to generate major headlines everywhere to put them at the forefront of the music world. Republic was their next album and it contained songs World, Ruined in a Day, Spooky and Regret that all became major hits. Get Ready and Waiting for the Sirens Call were released after that to cement their place at the pinnacle.
