With “Helenio Herrera” as the coach Inter went on to become European champions for the first time in their history. That was followed by another European crown next year.
 
The team won multiple Italian championships after that but didn’t go to repeat their continent conquering exploits of the mid 1960’s. “Jose Mourinho” was appointed the coach of the team in 2008. Mourinho’s arrival changed the way the team played. He turned the team into a well drilled, more disciplined unit and that paid its dividends in some style. 2009-2010 campaign saw the team become the first Italian club in history to do the treble by winning the European Cup, the Serie A title and the prestigious Coppa Italia.
 
Inter Milan have been crowned Italian champions on eighteen occasions. They have also won the Coppa Italia seven times and the European Cup thrice.
