The iHeartRadio music festival is a variety music event organized by the popular radio station, iHeartRadio. It is a two day extravaganza where chart topping artists are invited to perform. Also headlining the music festival is the American rock band, Green Day. Led by Billie Joe Armstrong and consisting of Mike Dimt and Tre Cool as the bass player and drummer, this group has been playing since the 1990s. Commercially, they have performed extremely well—they have sold more than 65 million albums and have won a Grammy Award five times. Their album “American Idiot” is still considered amongst the best selling albums. It produced the hits “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” and the title track “American Idiot” which enjoyed the top spot on the charts for weeks on end. Recently, they have found success on Broadway as well and have won many Tony Awards for this new venture as well.
