Formed and based in the city of Houston, Texas, Houston Dynamo have been keeping the soccer fans in Houston entertained ever since team's inception in 2005. Houston Dynamo play as the members of Major League Soccer under the leadership of the head coach, Dominic Kinnear. The team was originally founded by the name of Houston 1836. The number 1836 in the name represented the war for Texas Independence, and that offended the Hispanic fans in the region. Sixteen home games were held that year, and they attracted an average of 18,935 fans to each of their home games. Like the previous season, the attendance number increased by the playoffs, and during the MLS Cup finals, Dynamo fans were in high number.
 
Over their years of play, Houston Dynamo has clinched a number of notable achievements apart from their two Major League Soccer Cups. During their 2011 season, Dynamo made it to the finals yet again but weren't able to get a hold of the championship for the third time.
