The laying of FieldTurf has been considered auspicious for the Patriots because they defeated the Chicago Bears, while playing their very first game on the artificial surface. The new surface has also been good for Tom Brady’s statistics as he finished with a record of 31-3 by the end of 2007. The Patriots have also played the coldest game in their history in this Stadium against Tennessee Titans, in which the Titans were defeated.
