Alternative rock band Ben Folds Five, formed in 1993, comprises of three members Robert Sledge as bassist, contrabassist, synthesizer and backing vocalist; Ben Folds as lead vocalist, pianist, main songwriter, keyboardist and melodist; and Darren Jessee as drummer, percussionist, backing vocalist as well as part-time songwriter.
