The ballpark opened in 1988 and is owned and operated by Elmore Sports Group and Colorado Springs Sky Sox respectively. It has a grass surface and was built with an amount of $3,700,000. It can seat up to 8,500 fans of the Sky Sox and sometimes hosts musical concerts as well, during which it can accommodate up to 10,000 people. This ballpark is the highest in the whole of North America, in terms of elevation from the sea level.
