Born in 1991 in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, Hayes became acquainted with musical instruments at the age of two. Within a month of the single’s release it went gold and just shy of less than two months “Wanted” received a platinum certification. “Somebody’s Heartbreak” followed a similar fate, being certified gold by the RIAA, while also becoming the No.1 single on Country Airplay. His studio release was placed on the third place of Top US Country Albums and numbered sixth on the UK Country Album Chart.
With the success of his album, Hunter Hayes was approached by country superstar, Taylor Swift to become the opening act for her Speak Now World Tour of 2011. He also performed in over ninety acts during Taylor Swift’s 2012 Blown Away Tour. The singer then embarked on his own headlining tour called the Most Wanted Tour, after which he also initiated a radio tour that lasted for over ten weeks.

With his impressive skills and talent, he was able to garner several nominations including three prestigious Grammy nominations at the 2013 Grammy Awards. He received nominations in the categories that include Best New Artist, Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Album. This made Hayes the youngest country artist to have been nominated in these three categories.
