The Memorial Tournament is a result of the vision and dream of one person, Jack Nicklaus . He wanted a golf championship to attract global attention but also to preserve the local touch. The tournament is held in a course designed by Nicklaus at Muirfield Village Golf Club, Dublin, Ohio every year in June. The course passes through the neighborhood village Muirfield.
