Kings of Leon was established in the year 1999 in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. The band consists of brothers Michael Jared Followill on the backing vocals and guitars, Ivan Nathan Followill on backing vocals, percussion and drums, Anthony Caleb Followill on the rhythm guitars and lead vocals, and their cousin Cameron Matthew Followill on the backing vocals and the lead guitars. The band started their career in the year 1999, but their first record was released on February 18, 2003. The record was named the Holy Roller Novocaine EP and contained elements of pop and rock.
